Due to not able to find space for parking at the desired restaurant, we came across this Mama’s signboard and decided to give it a try. I remembered the name of this restaurant as Christy has recently blogged about it.

Complimentary appetizer : ikan bilis with onion and chillis. Crunchy with strong onion kerabu taste.

Curry Kwey Kao – A fresh slice of kwey kao hu cooked in thick curry with scent of laksa leaves. To me, it tasted like the Hainanese curry but thicker.
Choon Pia – served with special sauce

Tao Joo Zhap Chai – Assorted vegetables cooked with fermented bean curd.

Orr Zhu Bee – Fragant, thick and easily-melt-in-your-mouth black glutinous rice. A great dessert after meal!

It costs ~ RM60 including 3x drinks. Kamsia kamsia!

Third visit to Nyoya Cafe @ I-Avenue. They decided at the very last minute ~11.55a.m. to have a ‘makan festival’ together on our last day before heading off for our 10-day holiday. So 9x of us ended up here. This is the restaurant I see ‘improvement’ in their way of doing business. Now they offer more economical package to attract customers. RM8.99 nett sounds OK (already) right?!

Previously they only got this ‘promo’ set. Drinks were excluded.

Now they offer this more down-to-earth set lunch (A,B,C) at RM8.99 nett.

The Thursday set lunch’s dessert (one piece / person nia har) & drinks. Bee koe moi – we ordered separately one.

p/s : This restaurant has been relocated to New World Park, Burmah Road.

This week we gonna eat ‘keat keat’ wor coz this Mr.iao lur working shift one has come to day shift. We gonna bring this fellow to those restaurants he missed for the past few weeks lah.

Nyonya Cafe @ Ideal Avenue. Unlike last time, we sat in the front portion of the restaurant this round. 5x of us ordered nasi ulam, nasi lemak, nyoya vege.

We visited this one before. Little Castle loh. Tuesday set is Teppanyaki Chic / Fish comes with green tea (hot/cold), tomato soup and pudding. Ala carte also available. (Note : Friday no set menu) *so pandai pilih heh, Tuesday set is the most expensive one leh. RM12.90 nett*

See or not? It’s definitely a sizzling ‘hot’ day……:)

Tar por, tolong don’t come and blame me ah if you were to keep on ordering all those other dishes that I did not ‘recommend’ at all. Pls stick to the kaya butter toast enough lah OK. What I meant is this : Ipoh Kai Sii Hor Fun (RM5.50) ,Oldtown Kopitiam, E-Gate. Very small serving nia nia har.

Nyonya Cafe @Ideal Avenue. This one is of course more expensive than this one. The deco is really fantabulous though. 走高档路线!

I like the lamp deco loh. Si peh chyo loh!

Remember the nyoya restaurant I mentioned here?! Today we 8x colleagues went to support his restaurant at Gotcent Cafe, Batu Maung.

Set menu – differ by days. All dishes are homecook style! It’s actually the mama taste loh.

Clockwise : barli, nasi lemak,sambal hae bi, thu set lunch B (curry chicken/tau geh/too tor thng) ,orange slices for set lunch, thu set lunch A (fish/tau geh/ too tor thng), sambal, laksa.
(nasi lemak/laksa are from breakfast menu)

Gotcent Cafe …your typical home food! (51,Ground Floor, Lintang Batu Maung, 11960 Bayan Lepas, Penang) – located near to the famous two rebut-customer-Nasi Kandar-shops and Batu Maung’s OCBC bank. Next to the Little Castle Restaurant. Right at this moment it serves breakfast set menu, lunch set menu & noodles. Dinner is available for book-in advance functions occasions only.
