I have heard much about this The Eighty Eight Restaurant. Finally I had a chance to pay a visit there end of last month.
Appetizer. Tiny cubes of cucumbers and tomatoes.
How to make this kind of butter uh?! Anyone kindly enlighten me?
It’s very fragrant applying this butter on the toast.
Cold Starter : Arugula Salad (RM21.00+). Wild rocket salad tossed with lemon dressing, smoked salmon, and onsen tamago, salmon roe, and aged balsamic reduction.
I should have ordered other types of salads instead. I didn’t notice that the side dishes of our main courses were also rocket salad. OMG!
Assorted Vegetable Soup (RM13.00+) – consists of zucchini, cherry tomatoes, carrot, potatoes, celery, onion, and Parmigiano then finely blened. Garnished with basil and rocket pesto.
Hot Starter : Vongole Al pepe (RM19.00+). Fresh clams cooked with white wine, clam broth, chillies flakes, and fresh Italian parsley.
This is a must order! I was really impressed and kept thinking of how to use the same way to cook them at home.
You are able to taste the original taste of beef as no complicated seasoning being applied.
These are the side dishes of main courses.
Chicken Paprika (RM29.00+). Marinated with Spanish paprika, coriander then seared and bastes with butter till tender. Served with rocket salad, chickpea puree, and micro coriander.
Set lunch menu : Soup of the day + Mixed Salad + Main (chicken, fish or pasta of the day) + Sweets of the day/Coffee RM30++.
