Bravo Italiana (Invited Review) Part II
18 Nov
Set Dinner : Pesce Misto alla Milanese (RM43.00+)
New item, only available as Set Dinner (Soup of the day + drinks (lavazza coffee / tea / ice lemon tea) + dessert of the day).
-Grilled salmon fillet and jumbo shrimp with classic Milanese sauce.
[My rating 6/10]
Again, I always believe grilled salmon in western cuisine has the risk of having strong fishy smell, if compared to Japanese cuisine.
The jumbo shrimps were pretty good though. Most of us were impressed by the mashed potato, not only the outlook was eye-catching , internally it was stuffed with melted cheese! Surprisingly good !
Set Lunch with main course of Chicken Parmigiana (RM25.00+)
The set lunch comes with Soup of the day + drinks (coffee / tea / ice lemon tea) + single scoop of ice-cream.
[My rating : Nil - as we did not have the chance to taste Chicken Parmigiana]
Pizza alla Sicilian (RM32.00+) – With beef pepperoni, chicken sausage, onion, green pepper, black olive and crushed pepper.
[My rating : 6/10]
Everything was great from the toppings to its presentation, EXCEPT the crust was too hard although thin.
At this juncture, I thought of the Pizza El Mondo @ the price of RM28.90+.
Bravo Italia has introduced new items for desserts too!
Tiramisu (RM12.80+)
[My rating : 8/10]
Well presented in ‘cake’ form with decoration of peaches and cherries. I found that it’s not too sweet, rich in liquor and chocolate taste.
Tequila Key Lime Pie (RM8.90+)
[My rating : 8/10]
I was very impressed during my last round of review. This time, a bit disappointed as it turned out to be too sour (for me!). The top layer is the whipped cream with tequila added into it. Middle layer tasted lime flavour. The bottom crust is made of the oreo. It’s the center part that was VERY sour.
Italiana Mousse (RM12.80+) – NEW!
[My rating : 7/10]
The chocolate mousse was thick but rather stiff.
Bravo Zabaglione (RM12.80+) - NEW!
[My rating : 7/10]
Zabaglione refers to an Italian custard. I believe those who indulges in brandy sort of liquor will love this dessert. The very specific taste comes from the apricot liquor, forming the most bottom part – which has confused me to the stage of having ALMOND in my mouth at first! :) . LOL!
Topped with nectar plum. Very special dessert with specific taste.
Pumpkin Pie (RM12.80+)
*New menu starts from December 2010 onwards.
