Salsas Restaurant Set Dinner RM32.00++

The last round of set dinner I had at Salsas was back in 2007 .

After having an unpleasant dining experience in The Mansion 32, I decided to give this a try last Wednesday. I noticed that the set dinner menu did not change much since 2007. It is basically the same as last time.

Nah, the only difference I could notice was this. The cloth wrapping the bread! Haha!

Seafood platter top with basil salsa on cucumber salad.

This remained the best and the most impressive dish of the set dinner.

Soup of the day (Cream of Pumpkin)

Choice of Main Course

Grilled thigh of chicken with roasted vege and mashed potatoes, served with a light brown sauce.

or
Pan seared snapper fish with boiled potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, young corn, with tomato sauce and lemon creme.

This round the fish no longer having inconsistency in spread of salt on the fish body. It was cooked at just nice texture, not too creamy or fishy either. The portion was just nice as well.

Grilled leg of lamb with pan fried potatoes, fresh vege, cauliflower and served with blackberry demi glace.

Tender, juicy and not the usual blackpepper-ed style . I was especially impressed by its pan fried potatoes, really very soft and tasty. However, after halfway eating through, I guess I ada sikit tak boleh tahan the smell of the lamb!

Dessert : Cake, fresh fruits and ice cream

I always love the desserts to be served in this way. Greedy mah!

Drinks : Coffee, tea or ice lemon tea

15% service charge and gov tax apply.

Seriously, charged at half the price of The Mansion, I guess I have nothing to complain  regarding this meal I had at Salsas. Perhaps I am not the type who knows how to appreciate super high class set dinner?! Hmm?!
